Right Motivation

A scout troop on a weekend camping trip pulled a loaded van into the only remaining campsite. There followed a flurry of organized activity. Seven boys leapt from the vehicle and scurried to unload gear and set up tents. Other boys rushed off to gather firewood. Another group set up the camp stove and cooking utensils. In no time, the Boy Scout camp was a smooth machine.
A neighboring camper spoke admiringly to the scout master, "Wow! That is some display of teamwork."
The scout master said, "I have a system. No one goes to the bathroom until the camp is set up."
This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge. A good leader knows his workers and provides the right motivation. It's the high calling of our daily work.
Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may be zealous for them. It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always and not just when I am with you.
